CUNY Student Life Manager - Single Stop in Bronx, New York

POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Dean for Academic Services, the Student Life Manager of Single Stop will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that reflect the broader mission of the Division of Student Success. The Manager will have primary responsibility for the general administration of the Single Stop program and oversee the day-to-day operation.

The Manager is responsible for overseeing the outreach to potential clients, benefits screening, counseling clients through the application process, and referring clients to external service providers for legal and financial counseling.

The Manager is expected to:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and direct work of the Single Stop Office.

  • Train, supervise and evaluate Single Stop full-time and part-time staff.

  • Develop qualitative and quantitative assessment protocols to measure program impact and quality of service.

  • Manage the referral process to partnering agencies; ensure that follow-up with both clients and partnering agencies occurs regarding referrals and outcomes.

  • Create innovative outreach activities with campus student organizations serving students to ensure benefits access.

  • Deepen relationships between Single Stop, Bronx Community College and appropriate partners.

  • Contribute to development and implementation of programs and services for increased student success.

  • Oversee maintenance and tracking of appropriate documentation of all program data and services.

  • Prepare and present reports and findings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, Master’s Degree in Social Work, and six years' related experience in social work and/or counseling required. Experience working with large populations strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$60,487 - $105,123; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
