CUNY Non-Teaching Adjunct 1 - Coordinated Care and Community Health in Brooklyn, New York
Completes non-teaching projects or complex work in support of a Campus or University administrative or academic department. This work is generally of a temporary nature and requires specialized experience or expertise.
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Kingsborough Community College is looking for a Non-Teaching Adjunct to develop courses for a new Associate in Applied Science degree in Coordinated Care and Community Health.
Responsibilities include: Development and writing proposals for courses in specific areas in medical assistant training and community health care:
Basic Patient Care Skills & Medical Law
Deliverables: Hired individuals must produce course proposals in their relevant ares of expertise (as indicated in the Responsibilites above) in accordance with Kingsborough Community College and CUNY policies. Course proposals must include transmittal sheet, course description, syllabus, and relevant information required for the proposals.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's degree in Health Education, Health Care Administration, or relevant field (Note: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant teaching experience and certification may replace Master's degree minimum qualifications, if necessary).
Experience in teaching at least one of these areas of health care: Basic Patient Care Skills & Medical Law, Diagnostic Test, Phlebotomy Procedures, EKG/ECG Technician, Coordinated Care.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Experience teaching at a Community College in a degree-granting program or in Continuing Education.
$42.95 per hour.
