CUNY Administrative Coordinator - Physiology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience in New York, New York
The CUNY School of Medicine at the City College of New York seeks an Administrative Coordinator for its Department of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Researches, coordinates, and organizes materials for key events such as promotion and tenure reviews.
Supervises and trains office staff and student workers.
Serves as point person for CUNYFirst department training (procurement and student).
Coordinates RF-CUNY transactions (timesheets, payment request, p-card transactions, recording).
Arranges for IT desktop and hardware support as well as classroom podcasting (recording, converting, and support).
Assists the chairperson with analyses/summaries, and final reporting data.
Assists course directors with ancillary administrative needs and recordkeeping.
Faciliates adjunct hire/appointments, parking, and payments.
Coordinates conferences’ logisitics, which may include travel planning, on-site implementation, and post-conference follow-up.
Serves as NBME test proctor.
Maintains departmental inventory and timesheets for faculty and staff.
Collects and prepares course related materials for Biomedical and P.A. courses.
Bachelor's Degree required. Experience in higher education administration preferred.

Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
