CUNY Assistant, Associate or Full Professor – The Levich Institute in New York, New York

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Levich Institute at CUNY City College of New York invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position of open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in The Grove School of Engineering or the Division of Science. We seek to add a faculty member in the sciences or engineering with an experimental, computational, or theoretical research program to augment existing strengths in molecular and continuum descriptions of flowing systems, interfacial phenomena, heterogeneous and soft materials, and network theory. Areas of interest include but are not limited to biologically relevant systems, complex colloids, and materials development. Faculty are expected to be at the forefront of research in their field, and to contribute to the educational mission by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

In addition to teaching and research, the selected candidate will share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related scientific discipline or equivalent at the time of appointment. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
