FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Physics and Astronomy of Hunter College of the City University of New York invites applicants for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in physics. The department is especially interested in candidates with expertise in biophysics, in experiment or theory. The candidate will be expected to initiate an externally funded vigorous research program and involve graduate and undergraduate students in their research. Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
Ph.D. degree in physics. Also required are demonstrated strong scholarship, the ability to teach successfully, and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
