The Office of Enrollment Management at John Jay College seeks a qualified professional to serve as the Social Media Coordinator/Webmaster/for the division, consisting of six departments:
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Social Media Coordinator/Webmaster will maintain and manage all the Division of Enrollment Management web pages for accuracy, consistency of language and updates.
Assist in managing relationships with Hoot suite, Trello and Marketing Department.
Assist in the recruitment, training and managing a staff of student interns.
Collaborates with other Enrollment Management professionals working on recruitment and Hobsons CRM.
Conducts data analysis and reports to draw actionable conclusions and operational efficiencies as it relates to digital content.
Create multimedia content inclusive of photography, videos and storytelling.
Develop interactive fan content (polls, surveys, Twitter Chats, grassroots content, contest, etc.).
Ensure that all digital outreach efforts and products meet College standards for quality and audience.
Monitor behavior of the audience on social media and helping to rectify issues.
Participates as an active member of the Enrollment Division’s Social Media Committee.
Support the development of the strategic direction of Enrollment messaging with specific focus on digital engagement.
Performs job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required.
Two years of experience working with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat.
Proficiency in Photoshop and video conversion.
Knowledge of trends in Social Media. Knowledge of video creation and editing.
Experience with video story-boarding, filming, editing and posting to social media and web pages; as well as building social media calendar.
Knowledge of apps: Video stitch, PicMonkey, Adobe Premiere Pro.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient with both PC and Mac computer systems.
Must be available for occasional evening and weekend assignments as needed across the division of EM to support social media and web maintenance.

Supports the creation and maintenance of multimedia communications.
Collaborates with internal and external personnel to develop multimedia concepts to communicate key messages
Creates content utilizing one or more types of media (e.g., photography, video, audio, and web technologies)
Coordinates pre-production, production and post-production activities
Designs, edits, and uploads content to internal and external sites and programs
Maintains archives, materials, and project documentation
Performs related duties as assigned.
