CUNY Student Athletics Manager - Hunter College High School in New York, New York


Reporting to the Hunter College Campus School’s Principal, the Campus Schools Athletics Manager (CSAM) oversees and administers athletics programs for HCCS grades 4-12. The CSAM encourages good sportsmanship, respect for others and self-discipline. The CSAM works closely with the school principals and the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) organization to fulfill obligations as delineated by PSAL, regarding emergency first aid preparation and materials, training of coaches and hiring eligibility of coaches, and maintenance and replacement of sports equipment, thus assuring compliance with policies and procedures of the league. The CSAM represents the school in all matters related to athletics, attends home games, and arranges proper supervision of home athletic competitions. Supervises coaches, players, officials and spectators at practices and games. The CSAM is responsible for verification of student-athlete eligibility per PSAL Rules and Regulations and will maintain permanent file of athlete’s medical forms and parent consent forms.


Bachelor’s degree and six years’ related experience required. AED Certified CPR Certified First Aid Certified Concussion Management Certified


Manages selected aspects of intercollegiate, intramural and recreational athletics staff, programs, facilities and activities.

  • Oversees and coordinates day-to-day operations for varsity sports, supervising coaching and event staff

  • Manages one or more athletic facilities

  • Administers scheduling and other arrangements for athletic contests and events

  • Supervises the intramural and recreation program

  • Produces athletic publications through various media sources; develops and produces marketing and promotional programs

  • Maintain computer files, statistics, and reports on all data related to the athletics program

  • Oversees academic progress of student athletes and works with other College units to assure their academic and personal success

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
