CUNY Website Coordinator in New York, New York
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Website Coordinator will work in the Communications and Marketing Office, and including the CUNY Title Overview, will perform the following additional functions:
Monitors City College's public website and CMS for regular updates.
Assists the Web Content Assistant and other staff in monitoring the information architecture of the website. Assists in creating new templates and monitors the process of converting any remaining, help design built sites into an integrated, content management-based system.
Assists in maintaining and monitoring the development site for thorough testing of all web changes, enhancements, and upgrades and conduct testing across all platforms.
Serves as liaison for vendor services and represents the department or college, as appropriate, at business meetings within and outside the college providing opinions, support, etc., as applicable.
Track and report visitors, trends, and customer concerns related to the College’s main website. Post and remove time sensitive features of the college’s main website.
Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, design tools, and new languages.
Provide support for development, design, testing, technical documentation and roll-out of new web-based customer services.
Build, develop, and maintain effective relationships among internal and external audiences.
Trains campus personnel to maintain their sites website in the content management system.
Bachelor's degree required
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of and experience at the administrative levels of various content management system platforms and experience with video editing/optimization
Knowledge and application of HTML5, PHP and other open sources web programming platforms
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supports the creation and maintenance of multimedia communications.
Collaborates with internal and external personnel to develop multimedia concepts to communicate key messages
Creates content utilizing one or more types of media (e.g., photography, video, audio, and web technologies)
Coordinates pre-production, production and post-production activities
Designs, edits, and uploads content to internal and external sites and programs
Maintains archives, materials, and project documentation
Performs related duties as assigned.
