POSITION DETAILS
The successful candidate will report to the Department Chair and responsibilities include:
-Conduct administrative office functions which includes communicating with students, faculty, staff and administrative offices; preparing course schedules and faculty assignments; communicate with departmental faculty on matters such as submission of syllabi, grades, textbook information etc; coordinating and scheduling meetings with faculty, staff, administrators and with external parties; preparing and distribution of meeting minutes;
-Prepare, coordinate, submit and follow up on personnel paperwork and forms such as for reappointments, new hires and appointments, substitute lines, concurrence letters, workload forms, faculty time sheets etc;
-Assist and coordinate faculty and staff searches;
-Assist with the onboarding process of new adjunct hires;
-Coordinate onboarding, and track timesheets of student tutors for large section courses;
-Collect data for student tutors payments and hours on a spreadsheet during the semester term for end-year reporting
-Oversee and maintain the departmental data base and records on course offerings, faculty workload and assignments etc.;
-Communicate with vendors of department office equipment such as Office Copy Machines, fax machine, scantron and computer equipment;
-Maintain and track department Procurement budgets including; following up as necessary, OTPS, Travel, Auxiliary;
-Submit Buildings and Grounds work order requests for Economics and Business department;
-Supervise office staff and student workers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Up to 2 years of administrative experience in an academic department is preferred.

Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
