CUNY Administrative Manager - CUNY on the Concourse in Bronx, New York
Lehman College of City University of New York (CUNY) seeks an Administrative Manager for CUNY on the Concourse (COTC) in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). Located one mile away from the main campus, COTC occupies 26,000 sq. ft. of area and offers an array of educational, business and career services through unique collaborative efforts and partnerships with employers, community based organizations, public and private agencies, and foreign institutions. SCPS delivers services to over 13,000 non-matriculated students annually.
The Administrative Manager reports to the Dean of SCPS and is responsible for the comprehensive operational management and oversight of the facility including all programs and initiatives. Oversees day-to-day operations of CUNY on the Concourse including planning, directing, and coordinating the facilities in terms of operations, program development, program management, budget management, and maintenance. These responsibilities include administration of contracts and preparation of the strategic plans. In addition, the Administrative Manager is responsible for effectively managing space utilization, conducting space and traffic analysis including managing relationships with building contractors in accordance with the mission, policies, and standards of the School and the College. The Administrative Manager supervises full-time and part-time staff.
The Administrative Manager is also responsible for:
Recruitment, marketing, and management of COTC’s educational and entrepreneurship programs, including special training programs such as the VR Academy and serving on the EON/LEhman Advisory Board.
Overall operational management of the Business + Tech Incubators, including outreach, recruitment, program administration, as well as legal matters associated with leases and agreements.
Managing COTC testing center’s current and prospective portfolio (Prometric, NHA, Pearson Vue, Certiport, CLEP, TOEFL, CELSA).
Comprehensive facility/space and budget management.
Resource management, staff scheduling, hiring and HR coordination.
Managing COTC’s electronic processes, procedures, and record-keeping.
Responding to Requests for Proposals and assisting in the procurement and award process.
Planning, supervising and implementing grants and contracts.
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required. Two (2) years of facility management experience preferred.
The ability to communicate in writing is an important job-related competency. All candidates will draft a writing sample as part of the interview process to demonstrate their ability to write memos and letters that are grammatically correct and express information clearly.

Independently carries out unit activities such as approvals, student interactions, and participation in campus- or university-wide committees and projects.
