POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Admissions Director or designee, the Admissions Operations Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to the CUNY title overview and the following:

  • Execution and delivery of the Admissions department communication and recruitment campaigns using the Connect and other designated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, to ensure the strategic and seamless communication plans for all prospective students are aligned with the goals and objectives of the Admissions office. While developing and maintaining email communication templates for various admissions campaigns and special events with tactical layouts and visual aids.

  • Assist with the management of the Admissions call center to ensure maximum productivity amongst the call center staff. Lead and curate strategic call campaigns and mailings to prospective students

  • Work closely with other respective departments such as Registrar, Bursar, and Financial Aid to ensure there is uniformity with Admissions initiatives and student communication.

  • Maintain, update, and report on admissions related communications and campaign data.

  • Maintain student data in CUNYfirst and other database systems and keep track of communications plans and data in Connect or other designed CRM.

  • .Provide support for all admissions enrollment events by performing application intake, evaluation, processing and communication to students about the admissions process or status.

  • Serve as a liaison to enrollment management, student success programs, and other enrollment related initiatives.

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years relevant experience in academic advising, admissions, or enrollment services environment highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing quality student service in a diverse, urban college environment.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft/CUNYfirst information system in a higher education or government environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of best practices in delivery of admissions and enrollment services preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficient in using MS Office Products such as Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.

  • Knowledge of document imaging solutions, online forms, and office workflow.

  • Familiarity with educational learning management systems, student/customer management and reporting systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Connect, Schoology, Banner and Argos is a plus.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Supervises activities in an operational unit supporting Admissions and/or Enrollment.

  • Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training

  • Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid

  • Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas

  • Coordinates mailings and other communications

  • Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes

  • Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

$51,242 - $97,580
