CUNY Admissions Senior Advisor in Bronx, New York
Hostos is a small community college dedicated to creating an educationally rich, friendly, and warm environment. The Admissions Department seeks applications for an Admissions Senior Advisor. Under the supervision of the Admissions Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Organizes, plans, and conducts presentations at assigned recruitment events which may include high schools, community based organizations, and other institutions.
Serves as a liaison with assigned recruitment territory.
Meets with prospective students and their families both on and off the Hostos campus and provides information regarding program offerings at Hostos, financial aid, and admissions requirements.
Assists with review of admissions applications, updates data in CUNYfirst, processes non-degree applications, and maintains student files.
Participates in various on-campus events such as open houses, admissions workshops commencement, honors convocation, orientations, and others events related to the new student enrollment.
Collaborates with other college offices in organizing marketing and communication strategies that support the recruitment/registration and retention of students.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with supervisors, department staff, faculty, and students.
Bachelor's Degree and four years' relevant experience required. Availability to work evenings and weekends preferred.

Conducts and coordinates student recruiting and other admissions activities.
Counsels prospective, transfer, and current students on their academic goals and how they may be achieved at the College, and assists them in preparing academic plans
Provides referrals to other College departments as needed to further assist student/applicant
Conducts follow-up with students from inquiry stage to registration
Reviews applications and provides preliminary recommendations on admissions
Participates in recruitment programs such as open house sessions, and direct recruiting activities
Performs related duties as assigned.

$63,617 - $68,351; commensurate with education and experience.
