The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences of Bronx Community College seeks Full Time Assistant Professor in the Radiologic Technology Program. This position carries with it the obligation to uphold the Mission of Bronx Community College in carrying out the duties of the position. It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of Bronx Community College’s Mission.

The purpose of this position is teaching, supervising, and evaluating BCC Radiologic Technology students in classroom and laboratory setting. This position serves as the resident instructional expert in the Radiologic Technology industry.

Duties include:

• Teaching, supervising, and evaluating BCC Radiologic Technology students in classroom and laboratory setting.

• Treats students and colleagues with respect.

• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement. Contributes to ongoing program assessment

• Recruits and evaluates prospective students' qualifications and part of a team to determine admissions.

• Focuses on teaching and outreach efforts on student success.

• Assures effective program operations

• Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development


Master’s degree required in Radiologic Health Sciences or related field. Credentialing as a Registered Radiologic Technologist with certification by the ARRT and licensure by the State of New York for a minimum of two years.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate in Radiologic Health Sciences or related field.

Credentialing in advanced imaging modalities. Two years of teaching experience in a Radiologic Technology program and/or five years of experience teaching students in a clinical environment. Experience with lesson planning and preparation, instruction methodologies, evaluations and assessment are a plus. Three years of leadership experience. Knowledgeable in the JCERT accreditation process.


Salary: $49,253 - $85,162
