Serve as Curriculum Coordinator for the Therapeutic Recreation Program and teach courses including: Introduction to Therapeutic Recreation; Recreation: Historical and Philosophical Perspectives; Program Planning and Leadership in Recreation, and Introduction to Alternative Therapies. Ability to teach aquatics, CPR, Introduction to Alternative Therapies, Stress Management, Dance, or general fitness courses would be a plus. Additional responsibilities include engagement in scholarly work, student advisement, student outreach, active involvement in recruitment, and marketing efforts for the program. Shares responsibility for college committee and departmental assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions of the department.


Minimum of an M.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, or any Creative Arts Therapy, with 10 years of clinical experience and/or supervisory clinical experience. Must hold current CTRS license. Also required the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated record of scholarly activity and grant writing activities, understanding of subject level/program level assessment, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. College teaching experience, knowledge of curriculum development, experience in a variety of clinical community settings, innovative teaching methods, and proficiency with technology.


Salary: $49,253 - $85,162.
