POSITION DETAILS
Bronx Community College seeks to hire a Grants Director in the department of Advancement, Communications, and External Relations. Reporting to the Director of Grants & Partnership, the Grants Director duties are:
Manage all aspects of Bronx Community College’s (BCC) public grants and contracts program including strategic planning, prospect research, proposal development, and grants and contracts management from submission to closing
Coordinate with the College to ensure proposals are aligned with the College’s Strategic Plan.
Develop and maintain communication with faculty and staff to ensure that the college can successfully compete for government funding in a variety of areas
Work with Bronx Community College divisions in developing and writing grant and contract proposals, and assume full responsibility for the process and submission of all proposals
Act as chief liaison between the college and public funding sources
Stay informed and educate faculty and staff about current policies, practices and trends related to government grants and contracts
Develop and execute workshops on public grants and contracts
Prepare and distribute standard and special reports on grant activity
Work collaboratively with development
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
· Comprehensiveknowledge of the field of grants proposal development, sponsored programs, and research administration
· Knowledgeable of federal, state, city, and private funding agencies, their guidelines, and policies and procedures
· Knowledge of NIH, NSF, and U.S. Department of Education grant policies and procedures along with their associated portals (i.e., eRA Commons/ASSIST, Research.gov/Fastlane, G5)
· Knowledge of key office technology; ability to master software for tracking sponsored programs
· Ability to work independently and within a team
· Ability to effectively resolve problems and provide the highest level of customer service
· Ability to adjust schedule to changing needs, especially during periods of high proposal volume
· Ability to work effectively with internal and external constituents at all levels
· Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies;
· Ability to listen and respond to the concerns/ideas of others
· Ability to write clearly and effectively for multiple stakeholder audiences
· Knowledgeable about data collection and strategies for conveying data to decisions

Directs College grants development strategy and administration.
Manages all stages of grants and contracts administration, including reports to funding sponsors
Oversees identification of funding sources and grants spending
Develops funding strategies; assesses outcome of strategic plans
Liaisons with external organizations providing funding
Cultivates internal resources to successfully compete for funding
Advises faculty and administration of funding opportunities and requirements; promotes collaboration in developing proposal concepts
Hires, develops, and evaluates staff
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$83,878 - $119,995; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
