CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Bronx Community College seeks to hire Non-Teaching Adjuncts in the department of Student Success/ Student Personal Counseling. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Student Development, the Non-Teaching Adjunct duties include assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, case management and referrals, consultation with faculty and staff, psycho-educational programming and other duties as needed.
Clinicians must have flexible availability for sessions with clients including morning, afternoon, evening and Saturday sessions.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Must possess a Masters Degree and one of the following NYS licenses with current registration: LCSW, LMHC, licensed psychologist.
• Must have counseling experience with young adults and adults.
• Must have the ability to perform duties remotely.
• Must be able to work autonomously. In particular, must have well- honed risk assessment, crisis intervention and safety planning skills with respect to suicidal ideation and domestic violence.
• Strong engagement skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Quick thinker who is adaptable to rapid shifts in the day-to-day needs of the unit.
• Familiarity with social service and mental health agencies in NYC. Familiarity with Bronx resources a plus
$46.49 - $57.85; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
