POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Director of Counseling and Resources for Emergency Support (CARES), the

Student Life Manager -ARC/CARES will be responsible for implementing policies and

procedures that reflect the broader mission of the Division of Student Success. The Manager

will have primary responsibility for the general administration of the CARES Access Resource

Center (ARC) and Office of Personal Counseling (OPC). S/he will oversee the day-to-day

operation of CARES with a primary focus on ARC services.

The Academic Student Support Manager for ARC/CARES Is responsible for overseeing the

outreach to potential clients, benefits screening, counseling clients through the application

process, and referring clients to external services providers for legal and financial counseling,

The Manager Is expected to:

• Manage the day to day operations and direct work of the CARES Office.

• Train, supervise and evaluate ARC/CARES full-time and part-time staff.

• Develop qualitative and quantitative assessment protocols to measure program Impact and

quality of service. Manage the referral process to partnering agencies.

• Ensure that follow-up with both clients and partnering agencies occurs regarding referrals

and outcomes Ensure appropriate documentation of all program data and services

• Manage the operation of the Bronco Food Pantry

• Create Innovative outreach activities with campus student organizations serving students to

Insure benefits access.

• Deepen relationships between CARES, Bronx Community College and appropriate CBC

partners

• Contribute to development and implementation of programs and services for increased

student success

• Prepare reports and assume other related duties as assigned by the Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and six years related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree In Social Work or related field

  • License in Social Work (master or clinical)

  • Experience working with large underserved populations

Salary commensurate with education and experience. $67,784 - $107,789
