City Tech seeks applicants for the position of Academic Internship Manager for our Professional Development Center (PDC). The PDC’s mission is to engage various college community stakeholders with external stakeholders including companies and organizations aligned with City Tech's academic program offerings, to generate career employment and internship opportunities for City Tech students.
Reporting to Executive Director of Public Affairs and Partnerships, the Academic Internship Manager's duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage all aspects of the PDC programs, online internship and job-posting software(Symplicity), and PDC staff.
Develop and maintain relationships with employers to determine employer needs, promote use of CityTechConnect online career portal, and monitor progress of students/alumni hired for internship/employment opportunities.
Oversee all aspects of On-Campus Recruitment, Information and Orientation Sessions.
Promote City Tech brand by providing education of the value of City Tech graduates to employers.
Communicate relevant information to internal academic and non-academic departments.
Maintain detailed records of employer contacts, services utilized and potential opportunities.
Develop system to track hires and survey employers. Receive and record information from employers regarding employment/internship opportunities.
Assess and evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of internship programs and services. Collect, organize, and analyze employment data and recommend improvements.
Provide guidance to program coordinators with resume review, job search strategies, and interview preparation for students.
Coordinate group supervision and consultation sessions
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.

Manages College's academic internship program which provides career development opportunities and professional work experiences for students.
Develops and administers a comprehensive internship program based on students' field of study
Develops assessment tools to analyze and monitor student career development progress; recommends various enhancements to improve students experiences; and analyzes job market trends to determine solutions in response to market conditions
Administers the on-campus recruiting program for internships; initiates and maintains communications with employer sponsors; and schedules student interviews; creates and leads student career workshops
Provides faculty development related to internships and tracks credit-bearing internships
Collaborates with the other College offices to facilitate student outreach and connection with employers for professional development, internships and job opportunities
Cultivates relationships with alumni, faculty, administration and students to improve and increase internship offerings
May manage professional and/or clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned.
