Performs highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Department of Allied Health, Mental Health and Human Services at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for an Adjunct College Laboratory Technician to support the EMS Program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Restocking equipment

  • Ordering and purchasing equipment

  • Training staff for equipment use

  • Participates in the planning and coordination of the PSE for EMT and paramedic classes

  • Lab set up prior to each skill session

  • Maintains, fabricates, modifies, and repairs equipment

  • Manages set up, maintenance, and organization of student laboratories

  • Maintains safety and hygiene standards

  • Document and maintain attendance logs for laboratory activities

Anticipated work schedule:

Tuesday 9-5

Wednesday 5-10

Friday 9-5

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma with a minimum of eight years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an associate degree may be substituted for two years' experience and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years' experience. This position may also require the ability to supervise others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION

$29.42 - $42.51 per hour. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
