The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate Introductory Psychology classes for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.


For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

Candidates should be able to express a strong commitment to teaching, show evidence of scholarly promise and a willingness to contribute to furthering the mission of the college.

Prior college level teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity preferred. Also required: demonstrate outstanding/superior teaching skills, and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution


Adjunct Lecturer: $71.59 - $89.12/hr

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $81.20 - $96.38/hr

Adjunct Associate Professor: $87.54 - $107.28/hr

Adjunct Professor: $97.11 - $118.19/hr

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
