FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY) is a comprehensive college of over 17,000 students in downtown Brooklyn, offering associate and baccalaureate degrees in technology and health related degree programs, other career-oriented degrees, and liberal arts transfer degrees in its Schools of Arts and Sciences, Technology and Design, and Professional Studies. The Department of Health Sciences seeks candidates for Adjunct Lecturer and Adjunct Assistant Professor for the upcoming Fall semester and beyond; to perform teaching and related duties within its associate and baccalaureate degree programs. The Health Sciences department plays a pivotal role in the School of Professional Studies, enabling students to explore and undertake preclinical and discipline studies in the College’s new state-of-the-art clinical and laboratory facilities.

Our mission advances student knowledge in health sciences, health administration, policy and management; providing students with the competencies needed for either career advancement or entry-level employment in healthcare. Coursework relates to the dynamics of health, healthcare organization, health safety, health services management, legal aspects of healthcare, healthcare financing and accounting, healthcare information systems, and health research methods.

The department seeks to maintain ongoing relationships with adjunct faculty. To accommodate diverse schedules, our courses run days, evenings, and weekends using both in-person and online teaching. QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have as a minimum either a professional clinical terminal degree or a master’s degree related to health administration, public administration, public health, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of five years employment in the health care industry and higher education teaching experience.
