FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for part-time positions as Adjunct Lecturer in the Office of Maritime Technology for the 2021 - 2022 academic year.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in Coastal Piloting and Seamanship, Small vessel handling.
Performs teaching, and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor's degree, and the ability to teach successfully.
A minimum of five years onboard vessels as a licensed Master
Current USCG license of at least 100 gross tons.
Preferred Qualifications for Adjunct Lecturers
- Masters Degree or equivalent graduate education
COMPENSATION
$74.48 - $92.72 per hour. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
