FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY) is a comprehensive college of over 17,000 students in downtown Brooklyn, offering associate and baccalaureate degrees in technology and health related degree programs, other career-oriented degrees, and liberal arts transfer degrees in its Schools of Arts and Sciences, Technology and Design, and Professional Studies. As part of City Tech's School of Professional Studies, the Career and Technology Teacher Education Department (CTTE) currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Career & Technical Teacher Education and in Technology Teacher Education. CTTE also offers initial certificates in Career & Technical Teacher Education and Technology Teacher Education. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses across both degrees as well as in their areas of specialization.

CTTE seeks candidates for Adjunct Lecturer and Adjunct Assistant Professor for the upcoming Fall semester and beyond; to perform teaching duties for the courses of EDU2520 Child & Adolescent Development or EDU3610 Human Learning & Instruction.

The department seeks to maintain ongoing relationships with adjunct faculty. To accommodate diverse schedules, our courses run days, evenings, and weekends using both in-person and on-line teaching. Applicants should include information as to when they are available for teaching and whether they are able to participate beyond the Fall semester.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have as a minimum either a terminal degree or a master’s degree related to Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences or a closely-related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in the P-12 or higher education settings.
