The School of Technology and Design at City Tech covers a broad area, from the engineering technologies to computer systems, from architecture to advertising design and graphic arts, from construction-related areas to the study of new media. The following departments under the School of Technology and Design are seeking candidates for Adjunct Lecturer or Adjunct Assistant Professor in the following departments for the Fall 2021 semester:
-The Mechanical Engineering Technology Department's focus is on the following areas: materials testing, manufacturing, computer aided drafting/design, machine/mechanical design/analysis, quality assurance, and in specifying, installing, testing, or maintaining mechanical systems. The Department provides the fundamental concepts and technical skills required for students to create a wide range of career paths in the manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology profession.The Department is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Lecturer or Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach classes in the Fall 2021 semester.
-The Computer Engineering Technology Department takes a multi-disciplinary approach to technology providing theoretical and practical foundations in current and emerging technologies. The department prepares its students to be proficient with the basics of electrical technology, electromechanical technology, computer hardware, software, and computer networks, using engineering principles to integrate these technologies to control electromechanical devices, and develop computer controlled and embedded systems. The Department is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Lecturer or Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach classes in the Fall 2021 semester.
-The Electrical & Telecommunications Engineering Technology department would like to hire part-time faculty with MS- EE and preferably Ph.D.- EE with at least two years of teaching experience in the fields of electrical engineering or telecommunications engineering, for Fall 2021. Industrial experience in the related fields is a plus, however it is not a requirement.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
