City Tech is seeking candidates for Adjunct Lecturer and Adjunct Assistant Professor for the upcoming semester, to perform teaching and related duties in our School of Technology and Design. The vacancies are in the following Academic Departments:
Communication Design Web Design instructors with 5 years industry experience; HTML/CSS/web-typography/UX/UI. Motion Graphics experience a plus.
Computer Engineering Technology Instructors to teach Computer Hardware, Software, Programming, Electrical circuits, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Microprocessing.
Computer Systems Technology Instructors to teach Networking or Database.
Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering Technology Instructors with Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering and teaching experience in the field.
Mechanical Engineering Technology Instructors with experience in Manufacturing, CAD, CAM, Simulation, and Finite Elements.
For Adjunct Assistant Professor Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully. Master's degree in the field is preferred
CUNY offers adjunct faculty a compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits for eligible adjuncts based on certain criteria which includes number of consecutive semesters (excluding winter and summer sessions) taught as well as number of teaching hours assigned for each semester.
