The Admissions Department seeks an Admission Specialist who will serve as the lead advisor for the area of Communications and Outreach. We invite those interested in contributing to our efforts in making City Tech a choice destination.
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the responsibilities of the Admissions Specialist will include but are not limited to:
Supervise staff working within Communications and Outreach.
Conduct pre-admissions advising for prospective students
Create communication and support strategies using the college’s CRM software (Hobson’s) and other media to maximize our communication to new and continuing students.
Track and analyze the success of recruitment activities, marketing initiatives and outreach campaigns.
Coordinate all recruiting activities, both on- and off-campus; conduct Open Houses(information sessions)
Act as liaison with relevant college offices in performance of application process and operational procedures
Serve as liaison to CUNY's UAPC concerning application procedures and problems
Maintain the department’s operational manual as well as its website
Administer the student immunization process with regard to compliance, waivers, and exemptions, and report such to the appropriate college and university offices.
Develop and maintain the operational calendar
Evening and weekend duties may be required.
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
Experience in higher education, preferably in Admissions office
Experience working in an ERP environment
Strong writing, verbal, and analytical skills
Works well under pressure and has the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supervises activities in an operational unit supporting Admissions and/or Enrollment.
Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training
Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid
Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas
Coordinates mailings and other communications
Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes
Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
Performs related duties as assigned.
