CUNY’s Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) is an academic program offered at nine CUNY colleges. ASAP helps students to stay on track and graduate by providing a range of financial, academic, and personal supports, including personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, waivers for tuition and additional financial assistance to cover the cost of textbooks. At City Tech, ASAP serves approximately 1300 students across 32 associate programs, concentrating primarily on STEAM majors. Consisting of 16 full-time staff members, the ASAP team at City Tech provides holistic and comprehensive services to its students and work with departments across campus to support student engagement and retention thus ensuring timely degree completion and post-graduation success.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Retention, the ASAP Student Retention and Engagement Coordinator will in addition to the CUNY Title, provide analytic support to the Associate Director and Recruitment Specialist, who will be designing a comprehensive student retention and engagement plan for specific ASAP cohorts and the general ASAP student population. The successful candidate will perform duties including but not limited to:
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Recruitment and Retention by providing reports, statistics, and other analytic support relating to the program's annual objectives
Assist with coordinating, executing, and conducting workshops, events, and other programing to help retain and engage students in the program
Coordinate educational programing with ASAP alumni with the primary focus on retaining and engaging current students
Assist the Associate Director in the coordination of the Skills for Success initiative (an initiative designed to provide extra support to students who are on academic probation and alert)
In addition to group meetings, meet individually with Skills for Success (S4S) participants
Work with advisors and career specialist to help students develop a realistic academic and career plan
Monitor S4S participants and provide progress reports and updates to immediate supervisor, program director, Central Office and general ASAP team
Assist students with navigating the Federal Title IV Financial and Eligibility Appeals process
Serve as liaison to internal and external stakeholders including, faculty, campus wide departments, particularly Counseling, Student Life, and Alumni
Inform and, if necessary, refer students to other internal, external and institutional resources as it relates to academic and personal problems that require intervention from other professionals
Maintain communication with students, faculty, ASAP staff and other stakeholders to best support students
May assist the Recruitment Specialist with various aspects of recruiting
Bachelor's degree required.

Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront. Key ASAP program features include a consolidated block schedule, cohorts by major, required full-time study and comprehensive advisement and career development services. The ASAP Program Coordinator provides basic operational and analytical support related to a College's ASAP program.
Monitors and maintains student enrollment and information databases; collects and maintains statistical data
Prepares reports and surveys using student information and enrollment data
Collects information to evaluate program/event success and reports results
Serves as liaison to various College offices to ensure smooth operations and verification of student information
Creates and distributes marketing and promotional and event materials for ASAP programming
Assists with the coordination and execution of student activities, workshops, meetings and special events
Performs related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $45,003-$51,161.
