City Tech invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Health Service Administration Program at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, to begin during the 2018-19 academic year. The Program is located in the School of Professional Studies, a multi-disciplinary unit that also includes radiology, human services, nursing, dental technology, and vision care.

The Health Services Administration Program offers a curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum includes health services management, legal aspects of health care, health care financing and accounting, health care information systems, and health research methods. In addition to teaching, faculty members are expected to engage in research, grant writing, program and curriculum development, recruitment, and online teaching, as well as department, college, university, and community projects. Research work with undergraduates is strongly encouraged.


The candidate must have a doctorate in Health Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, or related clinical field. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years post master’s employment in the health care industry.

To be considered for appointment as associate professor, candidates are expected to have substantial experience with diverse facets of the health care industry including finance or policy, as well as academic or professional leadership.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Higher education teaching experience, knowledge of health care finance, and evidence of publications and /or grants are preferred.
