FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor for the 2020-2021 academic year. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate Anthropology courses including several sections of Introduction to Sociology with occasional elective assignments. Candidates from all sub-fields of Anthropology are encouraged to apply. Additional duties include student advisement, committee participation and continuous scholarly evidence of your publications strongly preferred.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
Applicant must possess a Ph.D in Anthropology. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and show evidence of scholarly promise.
Ph.D, in area (s) of experience. Demonstrate expertise in the teaching of Anthropology. Prior college-level teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. $47,340 - $90,149. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
