The Office of the Vice President of Finance and Administration at City Tech welcomes applications for Executive Director for Accounting and Business Operations.The Executive Directorreports to the Vice President forAdministration and Finance,and isresponsible foroverseeingtheCollege's businessoperations.
The Executive Directorworks collaborativelywith the Assistant Vice President for Budget & Finance oninternal and external audits
andpreparesaudit responses;interactswithCUNY, state, city and federal officials on business matters and
practices of theCollege; andadministers thecollege association and auxiliary enterprise operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Oversee the college budgets and Financial Plan.
-Oversee the preparationof materialsfor external and internal audits.
Oversee the procurement of all goods and services necessary to support College operations and supervise all related staff.
Ensure compliance with all State, City, and CUNY procurement regulations and procedures with regard to bidding, selection, negotiation, and contract processes.
-Manage the Board Resolution process for purchases according to the mandated threshold amount.
Oversee Central Receiving & Stores, Property Management, Print Shop, and Mail Center operations.
Serve as liaison for Capital projects ensuring compliance withallrequirements.
Initiate and oversee policies and procedures to improve delivery of administrative services college-wide and enhance operational control, efficiency, and risk management.
Serve as college liaison forimplementing CUNYfirstprocurementupgradesand relatedsystems.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Administration and Finance
This position is in CUNY’s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience.
A CPA orMaster's degreein Accountingis preferred.Appropriate administrative experience that would
support an executive appointment is also required. Strong communications skills, as well as excellent
interpersonal,analytical, strategic and staff management skills, plus a minimum of eight (8) years of
relevantexperience are required for the position.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
