Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Psychology with a starting date in August 2019.

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Participate in public and professional activities in Psychology field.

  • Provide student guidance and mentorship in Psychology.

  • Teach undergraduate and masters courses in more than one of the following areas: statistics, experimental psychology, introductory psychology, or an area of industrial psychology (such as human factors or personnel).

  • Participate in college and department committees, curriculum development, and other assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses is required.

  • Although research productivity is not a requirement of the position, a commitment to an ongoing scholarly orientation is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology or closely-related discipline from an accredited institution.

  • A significant record of relevant applied experience, is strongly preferred.

  • Evidence of teaching excellence.

COMPENSATION

Salary commensurate with experience and credentials. All appointments are subject to financial availability.
