CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Office of Alumni Relations atKingsborough Community College (KCC)is responsible for the engagement of over 65,000 alumni to help ensure their involvement and support of the college.

We are currently seeking a Non-Teaching Adjunct (NTA)who will report to the Director, and will to help strategically engage alumni via social media and special events to ultimately support the needs of the college.

General Duties include:

  • Develop, implement, monitor and analyze social media strategies that promote and sustain an active and engaged alumni base

  • Create and schedule posts across social media platforms, monitor content and activity, and engage with followers

  • Identify alumni professionals and influencers and maintain relationships with alumni to provide professional expertise, volunteer service and other support

  • Recommend alumni prospects for solicitations, guest speakers and mentorships

  • Cultivate students to help ensure long-lived connection to the college

  • Collaborate with other areas of the college to promote programs, activities and events

  • Assist with the planning, coordination and hosting of virtual and in-person alumni events and activities

  • Perform related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

  • Ability to develop and implement social media strategies and analyze and present results

  • Understanding of social media performance indicators and web traffic metrics

  • Excellent critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Innovative mindset that creates unique post ideas or strategies to increase alumni engagement

  • Ability to work collaboratively and courteously with a variety of constituents such as colleagues, alumni, donors, students and the public

  • Excellent event management skills

  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines

  • Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals

  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar constituent database

COMPENSATION

$46.49 per hour

BENEFITS

CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered pension and Tax-Deferred Savings Plans. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
