CUNY Non-Teaching Adjunct 1 - Excercise Science (Re-Opened) in Brooklyn, New York
Completes non-teaching projects or complex work in support of a Campus or University administrative or academic department. This work is generally of a temporary nature and requires specialized experience or expertise.
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Non-Teaching Adjunct 1-Excercise Science, at Kingsborough Community College will:
Manage course content materials, including syllabi, homework, and written assignments via Blackboard and Turnitin;
Communicate and respond to inquiries from current, and potential Exercise Science students;
Design and maintain marketing materials for Exercise Science program;
Serve as liaison between the director and marketing outlets for the program, such as KCC advisement offices (Freshman Services, COPE, ASAP, etc.) and the Admissions Information office;
Represent the Exercise Science program at open houses, club fairs, career days, and other recruitment events;
Coordinate guest speakers from KCC library and career services, and if necessary, request computer lab or other meeting locations;
Establish, and maintain field sites for student observation assignments;
Maintain inventory of departmental Exercise Science equipment.
Perform routine clerical work, e.g., copy various materials, respond to e-mails and phone calls, conduct research, maintain student and program files;
Perform additional duties and special assignments as needed
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (GPA 3.5, or higher) and three years of related work experience;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills;
Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
Able to work independently or collaborate with a team, and function constructively on own initiative;
Evaluate problems before making decisions; is logical, practical and tactful.
Maintains professional attitude toward learning; interest in learning opportunities; desires to learn about various functions and opportunities;
Higher education experience preferred;
$42.95 per hour.
