CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a Non-Teaching Adjunct in the Exercise Science Program.
General duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate individual three hour career observations for each EXS 500 student with appropriate and specific professional career site;
Identify additional EXS 500 observation sites as needed;
Meet with students for advisement, resolve issues with Blackboard, TURNITIN, etc.;
Copy, and post marketing materials (e.g. flyers, brochures, etc.) on campus;
Serve as liaison between the Director and marketing outlets for the program, such as KCC advisement offices (Freshman Services, COPE, ASAP, etc.) and the Admissions Information office;
Represent the Exercise Science program at open houses, club fairs, career days, and other recruitment events;
Coordinate guest speakers from KCC Library, Transfer Office, and Career Services, and if necessary, request computer lab or other meeting locations;
Respond to e-mails and phone calls, conduct research, maintain student and program files;
Perform additional duties and special assignments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of Associate’s degree in Exercise Science or related field;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills;
Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
Able to work independently or collaborate with a team, and function constructively on own initiative;
Evaluate problems before making decisions; is logical, practical and tactful.
Maintains professional attitude toward learning; interest in learning opportunities; desires to learn about various functions and opportunities;
Higher education experience preferred.
$42.95 per hour.
