The School of Urban Public Health ("SUPH") offers three graduate Nutrition programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics ("ACEND") —1) Didactic Program, 2) Dietetic Internship Program and 3) an Integrated Program, that meets the new Future Education Model standards. All three programs prepare students to work toward the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist ("RDN") credential.

SUPH is located at the Hunter's Silberman campus, 2180 Third Avenue (at 119th St.) in East Harlem, where we share Hunter's modern "green" building with the Silberman School of Social Work. Faculty and students work with local and regional community organizations as well as health and social service agencies to strengthen existing and create new approaches to improving the well-being of communities.

The Academic Assessment & Accreditation Manager reports to the Director of Urban Public Health & Chair of Nutrition Program. In addition to the primary responsibilities, other duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages the assessment workflow and process of ACEND-accredited programs;

  • Identifies, frames and implements academic support initiatives;

  • Executes strategic plans that are critical to the success of UPH;

  • Develops with faculty assessment tools, and manages assessment outcomes;

  • Participates in the development of curriculum for in-class, hybrid and on-line formats;

  • Shepherds curriculum and other proposals through campus, college, and university approval processes;

  • Manages affiliation agreements and field placements for experiential and supervised practice program;

  • Organizes program-related events like information sessions and recognition ceremonies;

  • Prepares periodic reports for college, university, and accrediting and other bodies on various aspects of curriculum and program effectiveness;

  • Stays abreast of all accreditation and other reporting regulations and helps ensure SUPH is positioned to meet those requirements;

  • Creates, implements and maintains the systems for tracking applicants, students and alumni and oversees SUPH’s website management;

  • Communicates with prospective and current students and faculty about administrative matters;

  • Provides ongoing UPH website management.


Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.


  • Masters degree in Nutrition or related field and RD credential.

  • Six years of related clinical or program administrative experience; graduate degree in a closely related field may be substituted for two years of experience.

  • Knowledge of academic ACEND-accredited operations in higher education.

  • Demonstrated pro-active teambuilding and customer service attitude.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent judgment and organizational skills.

  • Experience in creating and managing databases and websites.

  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple and competing deadlines.


Manages College activities related to assessment planning to achieve excellence in student learning outcomes through systemic course and program assessment.

  • Advises department personnel in developing assessable course and program goals, learning outcomes, and assessment measures

  • Designs, conducts, and reports on assessment activities

  • Analyzes and reports on activities, results, and recommendations, and plans future goals and targets; coordinates reporting with College management and external organizations

  • Collaborates with faculty on issues related to assessment for teaching and learning initiatives, including grant proposals and reports

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
