The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY SoM) at The City College of New York (CCNY) located in the heart of Harlem, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, we transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine in 2017. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master's Degree (27 months program). Reporting to the Director of Educational Technology , the Academic Program Coordinator will coordinate a number of educational activities related to a year-long clinical course for the Department of Medical Education. The Academic Program Coordinatorwill regularly communicate with students, faculty, staff and other key stakeholders regarding logistics and requirements of the course.

In addition to the CUNY Title overview, duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Course Director on various aspects of a year-long clinical course, including scheduling course events and completing course event templates.

  • Coordinate the implementation of course evaluations and assessments.

  • Liaise with course directors and academic committees to collect and disseminate any relevant course resources, reports, training guides, etc.

  • Generate reports on alignment, integration and adequacy of instruction and assessment of course Arrange meetings and facilitate communication between the Course Director and students, faculty and other departments.

  • Analyze data, generate and disseminate periodic reports to course directors and senior leadership.

  • Create training materials and manuals for onboarding members.

  • Check existing course event listings for accuracy and assist in the revision as needed.

  • Manage office records and digital files of course reports.

Note:

  • Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

  • Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the LMS (LEO powered by DaVinci Ed) on-line Diagnosis Tracking System and Educational Evaluation System

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with faculty, staff, and students

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of faculty and staff, both within and beyond CSOM

  • Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks independently

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Provides basic operational and analytical support related to a College's specialized academic program.

  • Supports the directors and managers with orientation preparation, student advisement regarding program requirements, and providing basic information about financial aid and registration

  • Manages office records including faculty files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on program activities

  • Serves as liaison to various College offices to provide service delivery and appropriate referrals to students

  • Collects and reviews syllabi to ensure compliance with standards

  • Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding program policies and procedures

  • May supervise office operations and/or monitor department budget

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary range: $49,960 -$57,517
