POSITION DETAILS
The CUNY School of Medicine (CSOM) at The City College of New York (CCNY), is the only medical school in the City University of New York system. Our innovative curriculum allows students to complete both their undergraduate Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degrees in seven years. CSOM will graduate its first MED class in 2020. CSOM also offers a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies (P.A.). Our mission is to provide access to medical education to talented youth from social, ethnic, and racial backgrounds historically underrepresented in medicine and to develop health professionals committed to practicing in under-served communities with a special emphasis on primary care. It has a reputation for excellence that has earned national acclaim for performance and a broad network of clinical sites for clerkships.
The CUNY School of Medicine is seeking 2 Administrative Coordinators to serve in the Medical Education Department. The Administrative Coordinators will report to the Assistant Dean for Basic Science Curriculum and other faculty in the Department of Medical Education who lead problem-based learning and coaching for our medical students. They will provide general administrative support to the faculty in their execution of their educational activities.
The Administrative Coordinator's duties will include but are not limited to:
Maintains lecture materials and objectives in LEO database Converts quiz material into LEO format
Organizes and distributes problem-based learning session materials
Compiles and deploys quiz material on LEO database
Coordinates the schedules of faculty and administrators, Arranges meetings/sends meeting requests, and maintains the accuracy of Microsoft outlook calendar
Proctors examinations and distributes examination score reports to students
Communicates with lecturers (phone, email) and arranges sessions for presenters (live, podcasts, etc.).
Assists with the distribution and collection of evaluations
Performs related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary range: $44,411 - $54,268
