CUNY Clinical Professor- Nursing (School of Nursing) Multiple Positions in New York, New York


The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing actively seeks Clinical Professors. Classroom and clinical teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in their area of clinical expertise. Clinical expertise may be in one of the following specialty areas of nursing: Adult Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Neonatal, Pediatrics, Maternity/Midwifery, Psychiatric, or Community/Public Health. Conducts an ongoing program of scholarship which results in publications and presentations. Provides service to the School and College through committee work, curricula design and review, and representation at professional organizations. Reviews for professional journals. Maintains licensure and certification as appropriate. Maintains currency in profession through continuing education. Clinical Professors are highly-experienced practitioners who have had long careers in practice, administration, and/or the military. They serve as exemplar role models for other faculty and students. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nursing (DNP/PhD). Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse (i.e. Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Midwife) also is required. A record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to teaching assignments. Also required is the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
