Reporting to the Manager of Communications, the Communications Broadcast & Multimedia Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting professional communications services on behalf of the College including digital productions used for informational presentations, web communications, marketing materials and other needs.

In addition to the CUNY Overview duties, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Format and post new content and edits existing content on the Hunter website

• Administer Hunter’s online events calendar & the College’s presence on CUNY’s events calendar

• Administer Hunter’s digital signage platform

• Format and deploy mass emails on behalf of the College president and other senior administrators

• Advance Hunter’s brand by developing creative visual and written content that increases the awareness of faculty, student, and institutional accomplishments

• Collaborate with other campus offices to develop and execute promotional initiatives and activities

• Plans and executes shoots for photography, video and other formats

• Maintain and monitor multimedia project equipment/inventory


Bachelor's degree required


Supports the creation and maintenance of multimedia communications.

  • Collaborates with internal and external personnel to develop multimedia concepts to communicate key messages

  • Creates content utilizing one or more types of media (e.g., photography, video, audio, and web technologies)

  • Coordinates pre-production, production and post-production activities

  • Designs, edits, and uploads content to internal and external sites and programs

  • Maintains archives, materials, and project documentation

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
