FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Hunter College CUNY invites applications for a tenure-track or tenure faculty position in Mathematics at the open level (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) to begin in the fall of 2023. The successful candidate will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, serve as a mentor to Ph.D and Master's students, develop and maintain a high quality research program and participate in service to the Department and the University.
QUALIFICATIONS
For Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Candidates must have a PhD in Statistics or Mathematics and must show excellence in both research and teaching.We seek outstanding scholars in Applied Mathematics but other areas of Mathematics will also be considered.
VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
COMPENSATION
Salary commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience

Assistant Professor: $52,267 - $99,532
Associate Professor: $67,784 - $117,805
Full Professor: $83,878 - $141,858
