Baruch College invites applications for the Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Services at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, the Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator is customer-facing and a first point-of-contact for walk-in traffic in the admissions office.
The Coordinator is responsible for daily operations within the Office of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Services including:
Prospect development and outreach
CRM data collection and entry
Fielding inquiries from applicants and prospective students via phone and e-mail
Processing high-volume mail; organizing and filing documents
Operation of all online application/enrollment system processes
Outreach related to communication to applicants and/or prospect
Supporting on- and off-campus recruitment efforts including event preparation, coordination, and implementation.
Leading regular tours for prospective and visiting students
Facilitating student life activities as related to graduate enrollment
Assisting newly admitted students with the process of enrollment
Occasionally representing the School at off-campus recruitment events
Working directly with the Bursar on the delivery process of enrollment deposits.
This position also supports the Academic Advising and Career Services departments at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs during on-campus events such as new student orientations and job fairs as well as with occasional supervision of the Marxe Student Ambassadors.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two (2) years of experience in an administrative function preforming similar duties. Experience in graduate admissions setting.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.
Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students
Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed
Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large
Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials
Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed
Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy
Performs related duties as assigned.
