POSITION DETAILS
Hunter College seeks a dynamic and inventive IT Academic Technology Coordinator for Instructional Media & Design. The HunterCenter for Online Learning supportsour faculty as they create and implement effective and engaging online learning solutions.Equipped with a model classroom, twoone-button recording studios, and several collaboration stations, the Center is designed to optimize the creation and teaching of hybrid, HyFlex, and online courses.TheIT Academic Technology Coordinator for Instructional Media & Design reports to the Director of theCenter for Online Learning.
The IT Academic Technology Coordinator for Instructional Media & Design will help the Center to expand educational technology services to meet the needs of Hunter College students as they navigate the culturally rich and diverse landscape of New York City. In addition to the CUNY Overview, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assisting faculty and STEM departments with the design and implementation ofundergraduate hybrid, HyFlex, and online courseswhile recommending best practices for flexibility and accessibility of course material.
Supporting all departments using apps, videos, and augmented reality/virtual reality tools in the classroom.
Ensuring consistency and efficiency in course design and technology adoption while investigating new technologies and pedagogies, as needed.
Providing course quality reviews for best instructional practices and accessibility
Providing training opportunities to faculty and researching current trends in online learning.
Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Information Design & Technology and at least 2 years of experience supporting college-level educational technology and design of undergraduate hybrid, HyFlex, and online courses.
VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.
Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides
Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs
Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions
Maintains on-line information on web sites
Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices
Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience ($60,394 - $72,837)
