POSITION DETAILS
The Hunter College Campus Schools is a K-12 Institution seeking a Student Counseling Manager who will report directly to the Director of the Campus Schools and work closely with the Elementary school counselor, Assistant Principal and Principal, and the High School, School Guidance counselor, Learning Specialists, Assistant Principals, Principal and the Campus Leadership Team
The position will manage a range of mental health services in the schools including:
Crisis assessment, interventions and referrals
Coordinate transitions of students needing school/therapeutic services and support families as they seek services
Consult with K-12 school guidance counselors and teachers to manage service requests for students
Participate on Campus Schools crisis management team
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Experience with children in both elementary and high school age groups preferred Experience working within school environment preferred
Educational credentials in:
Psychology
Counseling
NYS School Psychology
Experience with:
Psych-educational and behavioral assessment tools
Special Education evaluations
Evidence of supporting students emotional, social and educational development
VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Solicits and analyzes input from faculty, staff, clients, and others to improve counseling services
Provides input to planning, evaluation, assessment and marketing of counseling services
Participates in inter-divisional programs to increase student success and retention
Performs related duties as assigned.
