GENERAL DUTIES
IT Senior Associates perform highly complex professional work in technology. They perform development/programming, communications, technical support, and similar functions in their areas of expertise. Work may include diagnosing, evaluating, overseeing and resolving problems in highly complex projects.
IT Senior Associates have wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, and may serve in lead roles on complex programs or projects and/or serve as a direct supervisor of a unit or group. They demonstrate mastery of technology-related discipline(s) and decision-making ability in area(s) of expertise. They serve as a resource and contribute to policies and technical standards.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Website Developer is a self-motivated, hands-on IT professional responsible for overall operation of the CUNY SPS public website and attendant mini-sites. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Information Technology and with a dotted line to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Website Developer duties include but are not limited to:
Serving as relationship manager for web agency; share software development, content deployment, maintenance and operational duties with agency to ensure optimal website operation
Serving on project team for website re-platforming to Drupal 9 and distributed cloud infrastructure
Managing deployment and release cycles from test/dev to preproduction (QA) and to production
Collaborating with CUNY SPS technical operations and infrastructure team, ensure website infrastructure is current with all relevant security patches, content updates, and CMS updates
Collaborating with CUNY SPS technical operations and infrastructure team, ensure website infrastructure is protected against disruption; monitor and address website performance, server backups and failover/restore testing
Providing full stack software development leadership, as well as hands-on software development; manage agency development tasks and projects
Analyzing and documenting website UX/UI with focus on accessibility, mobile-first design, and engagement effectiveness
Ensuring compliance with W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1
Developing and maintaining website technical documentation
Performing other related duties as assigned
NOTE:
- Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
An equivalent of ten years of experience post-high school that can be met by one of the following: ten years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology related position; an Associate's degree plus eight years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus six years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position
Demonstrated English Language proficiency
A Motor Vehicle Driver's license, valid in New York State, may be required for some, but not all positions.
This title has three levels. In addition to the minimum qualifications above, To qualify for Levels 2 and 3, additional qualifications, such as education, experience, or certification relevant to the area of specialization are required.

Understanding and familiarity with distributed public cloud infrastructure preferred

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding and complex work environment
Portfolio or examples of CMS-driven websites showing coding capabilities
Occasional night and weekend hours may be required

Incumbent Min Level 1: $91,298
Incumbent Min Level 2: $99,599
Incumbent Min Level 3: $109,560
