FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Art and Design at Queensborough Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in the following areas:

Digital Art and Design: a variety of digital art and design courses using multiple Adobe CC programs, including knowledge of and experience teaching Photoshop.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

For Adjunct Assistant Professor:

Master of Fine Arts in an appropriate discipline, preferably Graphic Design/Digital Arts, or related digital discipline; demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching a variety of digital and studio art courses; demonstrated, sustained and ongoing commercial and creative engagement in the candidate’s discipline(s); experience working with diverse student populations; ability to teach multiple Adobe CC programs.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise required. Master's degree in area(s) of expertise strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience, demonstrated scholarship of achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

COMPENSATION

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
