CUNY Administrative Coordinator – Compliance and Diversity Programs in Queens, New York

The Administrative Coordinator reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Coordinator in the Office of Compliance and Diversity Programs will perform the following responsibilities, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview:

  • Coordinates with the Queens College Communications Department and the Office of Information Technology on the design, management and update of the OCDP and Title IX websites, as required

  • Creates schedules, monitors and documents compliance of new employee and reappointed adjunct participation in orientation regarding the CUNY Policy on Sexual Misconduct, the CUNY Policy on Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination and the CUNY Students Bill of Rights

  • Assists with the preparation of CUNY and government mandated reports, including but not limited to the College’s annual federal Affirmative Action Plan

  • Develops and updates OCDP PowerPoint presentations to ensure compliance with CUNY policies and procedures and applicable guidance from the CUNY Legal Department

  • Prepares and coordinates the acquisition of Title IX/Enough Is Enough, domestic and intimate violence prevention marketing materials

  • Monitors the OCDP 24/7/365 sexual misconduct complaint hotline

  • Review and prioritize search documentation and applicant pools for faculty and administrative searches and makes recommendations to the Chief Diversity Officer and the Associate Director of the OCDP

  • Enters, reviews and prepares reports of confidential search and applicant information contained in CUNYfirst as required by the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM)

  • Instructs search committees regarding search information which must be entered into CUNYfirst pursuant to the revised TAM procedures

  • Interacts with the CUNY central office staff and with QC administrators, deans and department heads regarding compliance with CUNY diversity policies and procedures

  • Prepares discrimination complaints filed for the Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Coordinator and schedule intake interviews

  • Interacts with other CUNY CDOs and Title IX Coordinators in all campuses to obtain best practices and statistical information

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience working with an Affirmative Action or Compliance office

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, CUNYfirst and Blackboard

  • Experience working with diverse populations is highly recommended

  • Strong organizational and oral and writing skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects

  • Knowledge of CUNY discrimination investigation procedures

  • Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred

  • Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.

  • Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

  • Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.

  • Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.

  • Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.

  • Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

  • May supervise office staff and student workers.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
