The Department of Psychology at Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2020. The area of specialization should have an emphasis in neuroscience broadly construed and research that contributes to one or more areas of our department’s strength: Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology (APA-accredited Ph.D. program), Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA and New York License qualifying Masters program and Certificate program), or Neuroscience (Masters and PhD. Programs of Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience).

The candidate will contribute to the service, teaching and research mission of the department, through responsibilities including: a) teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s area of specialty; b) actively engaging in service and mentorship in one or more of our undergraduate and graduate programs; and c) establishing a program of empirical research and involving undergraduate and graduate students at Queens College in their research.

Queens College is part of the CUNY Graduate Center, which includes multiple doctoral training areas ( from which faculty can recruit doctoral students.

Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Neuroscience or related fields, and have a record of innovative research, potential to attract extramural funding, and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.

Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
