Reporting to the Bursar Collections Manager, this position will maintain student tuition payment plans. The Enrollment Bursar Coordinator will coordinate, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Update student accounts in the Student Financial Module of CUNYFirst to ensure timely posting of payments from Sallie Mae, Pell, Scholarships, and other sources;

  • Assist with the billing process of Third Party Contracts;

  • Monitor student accounts with non-applied credit balances;

  • Coordinate financial literacy workshops in conjunction with the financial aid office;

  • Attend CUNYfirst training during implementation of new interface modules;

  • Assist in various reconciliation projects;

  • Liaise with Bursar, Financial Aid, and Accounting Departments.


­Bachelor's Degree required.


  • Two years of related experience or combination of advanced education and work experience preferred.

  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem solving skills highly preferred.


Provides operational support for a College student accounts function.

  • Performs processing, collection, reconciliation and maintenance of student receivables

  • Counsels students in meeting college financial obligations including current tuition, prior receivables and methods of payment; responds to student account inquiries

  • Maintains revenue files; prepares reports as required

  • Assists in the review of student accounts; identifies and reports delinquent accounts

  • May assist in the evaluation and verification of student eligibility for various loans and grants

  • Provides support to ensure the smooth flow of business operations and completion of required administrative tasks within the office; may supervise clerical and/or part-time staff

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
