Enrollment Specialist -- ACE (Accelerate-Complete-Engage) Program at York College/CUNY
The York ACE (Accelerate-Complete-Engage) program is a comprehensive program designed to help students complete their academic journey to the bachelor’s degree over four years by providing participants with a clearly mapped program of study and comprehensive academic advisement and career support services. Reporting to the ACE Director, the ACE Enrollment Specialist’s main duties are to:
Coordinate pre-admission advisement and cohort recruitment for all ACE applicants;
Lead ACE recruitment activities;
Conduct site visits to area high schools and GED programs;
Present on ACE at external college access events and conferences;
Cultivate and manage relationships with CUNY pre-matriculation programs;
Conduct information sessions and intake interviews with prospective students;
Oversee ACE student leaders and their integration into recruitment activities;
Assist ACE director in planning recruitment strategies; and
Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required. The following are highly preferred:
Experience advising community college students.
Candidates must possess the ability to communicate program requirements effectively to students, as well as have the ability to easily build rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Experience facilitating outreach efforts is necessary.
Experience working in special programs and/or with a cohort model and using CUNYfirst a plus.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Administers enrollment processes and related functions.
Collaborates with management team in the development of admission and enrollment goals, strategies, and initiatives; participates in planning enrollment events.
Analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative student enrollment data to prepare reports for management.
Recommends and implements improvements to existing technical systems and office operations.
Serves as resource reference to interpret and comply with University and College enrollment policies.
Prepares and reviews student communication materials.
May coordinate aspects of student entry from point of allocation to include orientation, advisement, and collection of admitted student documents.
May supervise office operations and/or department budget
Performs related duties as assigned.
