In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and values, the Office of Budget and Finance seeks to fill an entry level Finance Budget Coordinator vacancy. Reporting directly to the Deputy Budget Director, the Finance Budget Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the ongoing management of the College’s budget.
Specific duties, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview, include but are not limited to:
Assisting with position management, analysis and updating of CUNYfirst position management data and regularly running reports in HCM pillar and Financial Supply Chain pillar of CUNYfirst
Preparing financial, administrative, departmental and operational reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
Liaise with multiple departments to administer their budgetary needs, resolve budget related issues, respond to various inquiries and provide support in the utilization of the finance modules and position management modules of CUNYfirst.
Assist with the analysis, reconciliation, preparation of reports, journal vouchers and refunds of appropriations involving the state’s financial system and CUNYfirst.
Coordinate internet and/or database research and perform basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Coordinate projects and initiatives relevant to the Office of Finance & Administration.
Bachelor's Degree required.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience with CUNYfirst General Ledger ,and HCM Systems and State Payroll Systems
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office products.
• Prior experience run reports within CUNYfirst and utilizing data for reporting.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal communication skills

Collects and reports fiscal information as required, and assists in analyzing financial information
Coordinates with various departments on budget and accounting matters

$39,282-$40,815; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
